Sustainable development begins with communities themselves. PAPIRUDEI Community Development and Livelihood Improvement program works alongside families in rural Uganda to strengthen their economic resilience, build local leadership, and create lasting change from the ground up.
Building Resilient Communities
Since 2010, PAPIRUDEI has worked across Kyotera, Masaka, Lwengo, and Rakai Districts to support communities with programs that build long-term economic stability. We have reached 346 families with direct livelihood support, helping them move from vulnerability toward self-sufficiency.
Our Community Programs Include
- Livelihood Support: Helping families access income-generating opportunities, tools, and training to improve their economic stability.
- Local Leadership Development: Identifying and empowering community leaders who drive change from within.
- Women Empowerment: Supporting women with skills training, microfinance access, and mentorship to become economic leaders in their households.
- Youth Engagement: Creating opportunities for young people through skills development, sports, and the Padre Pio Youth Center.
- Padre Pio Youth Center: A dedicated space for youth to learn, grow, and develop skills for the future.
Why This Matters
When communities are economically stable, families can afford healthcare and education. When women are empowered, children are healthier and better educated. When youth have opportunities, they build the future. Community development is not just one of our programs — it is the foundation for everything we do.
Support our community programs today and invest in the long-term transformation of rural Uganda.
